The Grand Game

It appears that some of you are having difficulty understanding how the Game works. Not that I blame you. Humans are arrogant creatures. As a species, we have difficulty accepting the idea that we are not the most important things in the world.

Many of you seem to believe that humanity can somehow win or lose the Grand Game. This is false. I have said it before and I shall say it again: victory and defeat are statuses that can only be awarded to the players. The pieces do not win. The pieces do not lose.

I was in error to use chess terminology before. Humans are more like the pieces of a checkers board. Not special or significant, merely tools, but a select few may prove more important to others, but in the end even they must be cast aside.

There are over six billion people alive in the world today. I doubt many of you can even comprehend such a huge number. How many do you suppose will be remembered five hundred years from now? Most likely you can count that number on your fingers.

The Entities play the Grand Game against one another, and we humans are merely the tools for that game. Zero, Zeke, Peter Rivers, even the self-styled sage Sweetrobin... none of you really matter in the end. You are just the pieces being moved by something far greater.

I have accepted this. Why can none of you?

Anyway, I'm going to Atlanta tomorrow and will be there for a few days, so toodles.

  1. I have already long since come to terms with the conditions of the game. To deny it's existence would, of course, be foolish.

As the pieces on the board, we must each move to guarantee a fitting end for ourselves. If this means following the whims of a greater being, do so.

  2. To hell with that. I'm not a game piece! These "players" need us to play their game? I never agreed to any of that BS. This is going on far too long. I'm not scared anymore, I'm pissed off! Let these players come and show themselves. While I doubt it will do much, all they'll get is a face full of buckshot. I'll keep throwing things at them till something works! Like I said before, I'm not running!

    1. That's hilarious. They're ELDRIRCH. No weapon on earth nor magick from heaven or hell can harm them. I'd like to see you be raped by the Wooden Girl or embraced by the Archangel. EAT would chew you up and spit you out, the Black Dog would just heal any damage you did with your own body parts. Do some fucking research, don't throw your life away.

    2. Eldirch? Furthermore, the Wooden Girl... unless that's a metaphor, doesn't rape people. Not as far as I know, anyways. As to the Archangel, embracing it is merely death.

  3. How do you know that we're being moved by something far greater? I know you proxies worship Slender Man like a diety- Is he the one moving us? You're making claims that you can't prove.

I don't care if no one remembers me. In the grand scheme of thing, it doesn't matter if no one remembers me or you, so what we do from then on just depends on our morals.

And I dunno about you, but joining up with a serial killer isn't very moral to me.

  4. Master indeed is one of the players. But there are others. Many others. And each possesses its own method when it comes to moving pieces.

  5. Any info on those other players, or are you enjoying being secretive?

  6. I never was being secretive. The information is all right here on this blog. Perhaps you would like to read through it sometime? Unless of course that's too much work?

  12. Guh... Why do the Player need us to be the pieces? Can't they just MAKE things to play with?
